Yes, Inst. investors are what VRSN has been targeting, with price stability in mind. MSFT has owned a piece of VRSN since pre-IPO days.
They work closely together, will continue. Don't look for a split any time soon as VRSN has just about hung garlic at the doorway to keep day traders away.
