Hi Mark,

I've been running a beta release of IE5 for quite a while now on a few different systems running a few different OS's.

Although it's a bit buggy (IMO) and Microsoft will continue to release patches for it, I believe it to be a superior browser over Netscape 4.5(1). It's also my opinion that one of Microsoft's biggest faults is that they release products too early and then release a ton of patches/updates and blame the user if it crashes because they haven't updated the product with the multitude of patches.

That rant aside, Microsoft had the time and the resources to create a better product, and I believe they have. Calling the bookmarks favorites still irritates me, and anyone saying that it's not integrated with the OS is full of ****. I'm a big Netscape fan as well...I've used it since it came out, and I prefer the interface, but they're in a war they cannot win.

I'll be working with it a lot more in the near future as we'll be implementing a big intranet with IE5, so I can report back all the dinky problems and/or nice features.

Take care,

Richard
