AlienTech, we've been over this topic exhaustively and repeatedly on this thread. It's not expensing; it's writing off as part of a pooling transaction. It hits NETA particularly because of the company's binge of acquisitions during the past couple of years. One more time: Estimated hit to 1998 earnings from reversal: 12 cents. Estimated amortization: 3 cents per share per quarter this year and next.
