You're right that short interest at that site is as of Feb, 99, which is the latest short figures available for FORE that I know of. However, if you look at the last 6 months of FORE short interest, every single one of them has been 2 point something million. The highest short interest in the last year is only 3.6 million. So, I really doubt whether short interest has spiked up significantly since last month -- certainly not up to 25+ million! Therefore, it still appears to me that short interest is not the driving factor in today's updraft in FORE.

Also, what did you mean "we've been there before"? Do you think this is an artificial move designed to generate FORE interest?
