There was a minor problem around here with rabies in a few squirrels.

The bad news is that the squirrels are not responsible for taking the pansies. My neighbor said I would have seen digging. There was none. Also, the entire flower with roots intact was pulled out of pot and lay on ground.

This morning someone had removed several from the pot.

Fellow who helped me with rose bed dropped by with a list of trees. He said he's never seen squirrels dig up pansies either.

It's a beautiful day. I've been weeding.
