ICUT was fun today. In at $0.115, sold half at 11/64 ($0.17+) and closed the day selling the rest at $0.12. Called the company directly (Joel Silver) to present the rumors. I asked them if there was any reason for the increased volume and price volitity, they said they didn't know the reason. Then I presented the rumors that were floating about this morning.
They confirmed the 10K was expected to come out. Wouldn't comment on whether or not they would be positive or no.
Didn't say anything about the new store openings when prompted.
Laughed about the QVC deal, saying it "was a good idea, maybe we should talk to them".
They did close by saying that they're a good little company who's trying hard.
The key to these penny momentum plays, get in early, don't chase it up, and don't try to sell at the high because by the time you enter your order in, the stock will crash down below where you bought it and you'll get filled at a loss. Best bet is to set some sell limits (like mine at 11/64) and take profits on the way up. I chased DMRX yesterday when I really should have gotten in a day earlier. In at $0.515, sweated it out all day until the end when I was able to escape with a $7 loss, including commissions. But I had to go thru the day watching the thing drop to the $0.30's. Hardly worth the stomach-ache. Best bet is just to wait for the next train, there's always another one.
