>>Honestly I don;t see a lot of objective comments
?HUH? You asked me a question, I answered you. You pursued it, I tried to explain. What's with the emotion? I'm not particularly irritated at PQ or Part Magic; I just reported what happened to me. I think perhaps you overreacted a bit here <gg>.
I have not had success with PM, quite possibly due to something I did. I found their site when I went there unhelpful and confusing. Others here reported similar experiences at the time, as a matter of fact. The REALLY frustrating thing was that it was nonobvious to me what the 4.01 download purported to fix.
They have not returned my emails. A simple statement of fact. Their license agreement is very restrictive for personal use. I think you agree (or I thought you did). BTW, I have since found a 5-pc license at buy.com which seems reasonable to me. BUT ...
The real bottom line is, it didn't do the job. I consider this a valid complaint about a product. Old-fashioned of me, I know, but there it is ... <g>.
When I get more time to look into it, I intend to continue to work on PM to see what went wrong. If I find a reportable bug, I'll report it and try to get it fixed. If I find I screwed something up, I'll report that here, not for confession but to help others possibly in the same boat. Maybe I'm the only one in the boat. Who knows?
Now, Sean, for goodness sake, SHUT UP about PQ, PM, and your assumptions about my feelings about it <ggg>. Surely you have more important things to bitch about (to paraphrase a friend of mine <GGG>).
