3G Deal done. ITU would not come up with standard if both Ericy and Qcom didn't sign off. Somehow the Dow Jones release didn't seem to get wide or fast dissemination. I am anticipating things this weekend to get very interesting--maybe with a formal announcement. While the price has increased substantially and there may be some who sell on news, I would have to think that Qcom price will improve a lot more. IMHO analysts will revise their earnings projections upward to $4.00 per share.

I think it is very telling that the first release (leak) is not from Brazil but from Japan and from a governmental source. As we discussed awhile back, Japan needed a resolution of 3G badly and DoCoMo was applying lots of pressure.
