Called the company yesterday. Spoke with IR, then CFO. Company is in quiet period. CFO stated he had made some calls yesterday, and felt there were no rumors or other known factors for the dramatic action at the close.

Since I was asking whether the company was taking any action regarding possible manipulation by the MMs, the conversation focused on that alone.
