*Qualcomm clamps down on information leaks* That is timely. Just when the news is getting really hot a big warning goes out. That seems to me almost an announcement that there is a big announcement to be made. The managers of Q! don't want any leaks resulting in SEC problems when something which might have a major effect on the share price is being decided.
With an agreement being made by the ITU in Brazil by the look of it, the implication is that the Ericy agreement will become operative forthwith and it will all be on. The lawyers will be reeled in, the infrastructure sales to Telecom New Zealand will be announced, GSM overlays will get underway in overloaded areas in Europe. China will be able to turn cdmaOne loose and Ericy will be able to start installing them flat out across unserved areas of China. Singapore won't have to wait anymore. All good things.
Ericy will stop declining and Q! will accelerate to market leadership all around [albeit in joint ventures with Sony, Microsoft, Ericy and others].
I should point out to Qualcomm employees reading this that I am an approved outlet for ideas and comments about CDMA in general, so feel free to send me information. You can email me at Mqurice@ihug.co.nz
As you will have seen, I don't disclose my sources and I edit anything so that even speling mistakes wouldn't identify the sender. Ramsey and other shareholders have approved me as a spokesperson.
Ramsey has had discussions with Irwin, so it must be fine. I too have had a meeting with Irwin, Andy and the others - the Feb 1998 AGM for example. I also was in a lift [elevator] with Andy once, some years ago.
Anyway, don't send top secret stuff, such as details of any Ericy agreement, but any concatenations about orthogonality, handset developments, or anything not stamped 'confidential' etc is welcome.

PS: Actually, you can send me top secret stuff too if you are unsure and I'll check it out to see whether it is top secret or not. |
