In my opinion, all E*Trade IPO's are going to Platinum account holders.

I have been told the Etrade account holders with big bucks are offered IPO's first, i guess this would be the Platinum folks.

I was in on IVIL in the first 3 minutes, a Platinum member 4 minutes after me was allocated shares, i was not.

Think about it, Etrade gets 80,000 shares of "XYZ" IPO. That's 800 customers who get 100 shares. I would estimate Etrade has 10,000 accounts with Platinum status.

I am a bit miffed E*Trade does not make this clear to new customers. The moral : if you signed up to get IPO's and have less than 100K in your account , forget it. For this reason and considerable server downtime, and poor customer service. Think before you sign on the line.

Regards,

MJY
