<<Victor, I don't follow OMPT, but I am puzzled by something and maybe you can enlighten me. My Bloomberg shows that OMPT has been losing more than $3 (3 dollars) per share for a while. I have never seen a company lose money at this speed. Why isn't this a penny stock? Is there anything I am missing? >>

FS, i have the same amazement as you. The co has been talking vaguely about finding a "partner" whatever that means. I guess this has bouyed the stock a bit, and many cell phone co's rose when Airtouch was bought out.

I think the best that shareholders can hope for is a buyout, but terms will not be favorable since the co has so much debt and would be an immediate drag on the financials of the acquirer. PTEL is in the same boat. (I am short ptel)

BTW I do not think that mganagment of PTEL or OMPT are necessariy all that bad- they are aggresive, high-tech companies. I just cannot see how the economics of cell phone service will ever be profitable on their scale. There's no way out, at this point, IMO.

Victor
