I have had a few hydrogen pops in my lab life, but it is mostly a pop and I certainly fear it much less than a gasoline "boom". Lots of us have been in the lab and though you are a PHD, you are not the only one with experience here, and I still think you are overplaying the hydrogen danger here. Gosh, it ain't the hydrogen bomb, and how many people do you know who were killed by a hydrogen explosion? There are legions killed by gasoline!
