I did a cool series in callege. Never sold 'em. I went to a Woolworths and bought 5 of those Korean Real Sofa Size paintings, the ones that are really painted with Real Oil Paint and have some name in the corner like Wilson. These were all scenes of a weird mountain cottage with a stream and a mountain in the back. You know the kind where the cottage is with a palette knife and the clouds are all the same on every painting and the Big Tree is Real Nice and the water is Real Nice and Reflective with the feather brush and all that crap. 22 bucks each as I recall. All identical. All Really Horrifying.

Then I worked on each one individually. I was studying 15th century techniques, so I was into the Most Excellent Detail.

The idea was to leave the painting the same but kinda paint on it a little to make it better. Hee Hee.

The first one I painted in some telephone poles and some crap in the water and some dead thing by the tree. Just a dozen or so little things that one would not notice unless one stopped and looked.

Second one I made the mountain a volcano and put little Renaissance style dinosaurs eating Something by the cabin. Also a beer can there in the Meadow.

Third one got a little weird. Bugs. Lots and lots of little teeny tiny bugs. Real little. All over everything but you couldn't see 'em unless you got up to about 18" from the painting. They looked real.

Fourth one I did the whole sky at night and a light outside the cabin that lit everything up real strange. Lots of odd things that you couldn't tell what they were.

Then I got bored and did some sculpture or some such.

The bug one was pretty cool.
