Another thought about RISK vs. REWARD:

Investors, me included, naturally tend to be more bullish when the price of a stock rises, and more bearish when the price has dropped. In many cases, RANGY included, one could argue the opposite. This is why I was willing to risk so much of my portfolio in RANGY when it was selling for around 1 3/8. To me it makes more sense to be bullish when the price is rock bottom, and less bullish when the price has significantly appreciated over a short period of time.

A great book on this is "THE NATURE OF RISK" by Mamis.

Another thing I base my rangy investment decisions on it the price ratio of Durban to Randgold.
