Jack, we have at least 150 MM Americans involved with gasoline daily, and we may have 100 death of that yearly. We have no more than 100,000 Americans working with Hydrogen and we have at least 20 deaths yearly. Do the calculation yourself.

PS, I do not have a PhD, and whether or not I have something like that is really irrelevant. Mishandling hydrogen can have severe consequences and down playing these is not fruitful. By the way, I know few other materials that are even nastier, like CO, or Phosgene, or for that matter another favorite fuel cell fuel, like hydrazine.
