Well, ya know, any port in a storm. I might indeed do better with a Hayne's "do it yourself" manual on prostate treatment picked up from the corner parts store. I always said these damn doctors are nothing but glorified freaking mechanics anyway! Ha! Let that not diminish the respect I hold for qualified technicians of any discipline. But who are these people? Do I have one? Do you? Who the hell knows. My uro's walls are lined with diplomas, and strangely enough I do like the guy after today. I think he realizes he screwed up.....more importantly, I think he realizes that I think he screwed up. Hey, everyone has a bad day at the fair. It was a monday, maybe he was hung over, who knows? But the point in my mind is that the scientific community as a whole, and medicine in particular (ala AMA etc.) enjoy ENTIRELY too much sanctimony in their everyday business. We the pitiful lay-people are supposed to wither and hang on their every word. The reality of the situation is that everyday thousands of people are harmed by their own ignorance, whether it is an "alternative" therapy not made known to them, or "snake oil" from the quacks and greedheads looking for a quick buck, or medicines consumed without a clue as to various interactions which can really make for a bad day. I sit here with dread anticipation having to do this wound cleaning deal again....my guts hurt and I just want to go to sleep, and I am truly frightened by peering at my insides. I know I am ignorant of the mechanics of the inner boddy, I do not purport to be able to heal myself with any level of certainty. For now I have only the faith in my practitioneer, I have to help HIM do the damn job right.....jeez. All for now, thanks for the entertaining and encouraging words!!! I really do appreciate it.
