In the field, the interest in this O.S. is climbing at a rate that takes my breath away. Up until a few months ago, it was merely something that the techno-nerds loved. Now, it is entering a new phase, where many are starting to examine it. The box builders LOVE the possibility that it might really become accepted, in exactly the same way that they loved the appearance of the new K6 chip from AMD,.....they need and want competition for those two monopolies. Also, it would cut the costs of boxes as Linux is free.
Today, it looks like one down, and one starting to lean. Personally, I'm cheering, as I'm tired of the cluttered, band-aided, crash and lock-up prone Win 98. I also would love to see the arrogance of some of Microsoft's execs softened up a bit. (g)
I'd sure as heck keep an eye on this.
