Web page update: Isaac's Harbour CIH-99-5 March 20, 1999 - Drilling was suspended for a few days on Friday night to re-supply the pipe and to give Doug Boddy a chance to get back into the field and assess the progress. We are at 310 meters and have hit several zones that may be new. Geologist, David Dowe reports a 30-cm quartz zone with good visible gold. We appear to be running into an angle set of quartz every 30 meters or so. This is excellent structure for the prospective underground works. We may keep drilling this hole much deeper as it is providing very important geology for mapping the structure. This drill rig can handle pulling core up from about 1100 meters. We are purchasing a saw for splitting the core and ordering with the electric company a 200-amp service to be set on the site. We have power lines running through the property that supplies the lighthouse down the road. The saw can run 130 meters of core per man-shift and Doug Boddy and a helper will begin splitting the core and sacking it for assaying when it arrives, hopefully next week. Once caught up on the splitting they will be able to run each day's core concurrently.
