Wendy: That's a great story on EPAY. I saw a show a little while ago on CNN-TV on EBAY. The concept seemed to be so simple and there was tremendous involvement by their 2 million subscribers, growing in leaps and bounds. It showed a lady going to these flea markets buying up stuff, taking pictures with the digital camera and selling it on the Internet over EBAY at a good profit. This could involve millions of people making a bit of money on the side. EBAY's sales in 1998 was only US$47 million and is expected to skyrocket in 1999. They have 129 million shares outstanding? and since March they hit an all time high of US$500.00/share. They say in the United States fle markets, auctions, and classified ads is valued at US$100 billion. EBAY's cut must be around 1/10th. of 1% - so the future for EBAY type Internet companies, people to people auction, must be awesome. Ever since that program, I've been looking for another internet stock the same as EBAY, "people to people" auction, but can't find one. It's sort of unbelievable that there aren't more involved in the EBAY style of Internet e-commerce.
