John: WATER:See my post #4844: The 'Fatal Five'. Water Utilities mass disruptions is the death knoll of civilization.

from Jim Lords articles:

More than thirty million people in the United States are likely to be without water after January 2000. Nearly two thirds of those affected will be in the big cities.

water will end up being the core issue of y2k

His figure of 30 million is INITIAL. Expect to ultimately find that expanded to about 90-95% of the entire population.

Further, authoritative articles I have studied discuss a further serious problem, even if/when water flows to homes, it may be contaminated/unpure, due to y2k non-comp. processing equipment incorrectly metering/releasing chemicals, etc., etc., thus, everyone not having a superior water filtration system may have serious medical problems.

NO WATER = NO ENGINEERS/PRGGRAMMERS TO BRING BACK UP THE GRID,RESTORE THE BANKING SYSTEM, RUN THE RAILROADS BRINGING COAL, ETC, DRIVE TRUCKS BRINGING FOOD AND FUEL, ETC., AD NASEUM!

I will address the resultant problem of city-wide fires and firestorms, due to lack of water for fire-fighting equipment, in another post.

I am shocked that no other posters picked up on the SERIOUSNESS of this article!

Thank you for posting this most crucial of any news articles! I missed it.
