Many, many companies cooperate with each other with regards to IP. Why did Intel sign a broad IP cross-licensing agreement with National Semi? How about with IBM?

The question you pose is bogus.


That is a good answer on the first part. Not the second one because my guess is as good as yours. We will see sooner or later, would we not?

The fact that Nokia had to pay IDC (private funding or future buyout) $70 million should tell us something. That is IDC's stuffs are needed by Nokia. If that is the case, I can comfortably tell you now that Nokia will also one day need QCOM's IP to move ahead. Pay up sooner or later (in the form of CO-OP (Nokia's term) or license). I will be patient for that to happen. Does it make sense to you?
