For a self-described former Apple user, you're pretty hard on them now. The new Powerbooks have their problems, but speed is NOT one of them. At 240 Mhz, they blow away the Intel laptops. BTW, the Pro is also not being used in laptops, the fastest notebooks I've seen is a 166 Mhz Pentium. The 3400 should be 50% faster at least.
