Vitas: Some of Birinyi's comments are consistent with what I have been seeing. If you look at the RUT block money flow, you will see that the funds have been getting out of the RUT stocks. It has been negative nearly every day this year. That money must go somewhere. So it goes to the larger stocks.

On the other hand, I cannot accept Birinyi's statements in their entirety. The non-block money flow data has been positive for the RUT. Reading the quotes that you provided, I would think that Birinyi would be bullish on the RUT then. However, Birinyi's third statement shows he does not want to buy the RUT stocks even though his second statement appears to support their purchase.
