Victor I agree, but the theories around highlighting the great success of "investing long term" and forgetting about thew ups and down promoted by gurus like Rukeyser have taken such a strong hold that a wake up call is required. Similar long term stagnation have occurred at the beginning of the century when to DOW was struggling for years to finally establish itself above 100. It took the beginning of the roaring 20' to finally break through (and we know what happened after that, but I do not expect this in our case).
