To answer your question, the importance of the broken 16 carat stone, is that it raises confidence in the large end of the stone size distribution plot. Yes, with Aber about to lose about 16% working interest in Snap Lake, that will ultimately add about $16.00/share to Winspear, IMO. According to my "back of an envelope" calculations, Winspear should get one, and if they are really lucky, two diamonds about or just over 100 carats in size from the 6000 tonne bulk sample.
I can hardly wait for the results. I hope we get a decent breakdown of various stone sizes prior to valuations.
