The Zenon membrane filters can be used for desalination as well as purification and can filter out chlorine resistant parasites like cryptosporidium. In the 1993 outbreak there were 400,000 cases. There was also an outbreak last year in Sydney Australia. The U.S. is now offering interest free loans to states adopting membrane technology.

Water purification is definitely a growth industry, now to pick the winners ....
