Zeev,
Big Oil is rich and protective, but not smart. There will be technology which renders their use as a fuel obsolete, but they will still be needed for that which you mention. My point is that they are powerful enough here to surpress competitive technology, have, and will continue. Only when brougt to their knees will they cange their focus.
I would favor coal derived distillates, since we have great abundance of that resource here in the good old USA. Speak to me Zeev, lets talk coal, the abundant, rich, surpressed, cheap source of petrochemicals!
Oil is simply liquid coal!
Well, not exactly. In terms of distillate potential and fractions potentially derived from, it is. We can use the carbon for nanomachines.
Or carbon derived nanorobots which produce nanomachines.
Will technology change the "Turnip truck"--I would bet "yes".
Will Zeev still fall off the "Turnip truck"--I know not!
Do turnips require a lot of manure--NO!
Time to plant turnips, Jack! |
