Cacaito, I was simply quoting Dr. Maisel's description of several of the factors which affect the skin under phototherapy, one of which was bleaching. I would assume this may have occured in some of the darker skin tones possibly? Have you ever seen a sunburn in an african american? The skin can turn to ash and look almost whiter.

You sound very knowledgeable, but I really think you're minimizing the time it takes to develop this algorithm. According to the man who wrote the algorithm for SPRX's current device, it does not work after phototherapy has been introduced into the equation. If you doubt this, ask him. He was apparently at a conference when the person I obtained this information from spoke with him.

Within the text of the article you so generously provided, you fail to mention the over 2000 subjects tested number, but do mention the smaller subgroup tested concurrently with phototherapy. Keep in mind though, to develop the algorithm to include calibration for phototherapy, they had already tested many many more subjects beforehand. Why do you insist that the NICUs are a priority with SPRX when their own management denies this? And don't tell me I'm misinformed. I personally spoke with both the CEO and CFO on this matter.
