It's definitely bad business, and it doesn't offer consumers more choice, as they are saying, when they are eliminating GM ingredients from their store brands (assuming they are able to do so). I also other posters' comments (Jopawa and Valg) that MTC has underestimated Greenpeace et al and handled the PR of GM food poorly. MTC and other ag-biotech companies such as Dupont, Zeneca should have a united front (a lobbying group, trade organization, industry spokesgroup, whatever) for PR, public education, trade discussion. Can't do it alone.
