Hi John: I think a DELL/IBM merger would be great - for DELL and IBM. I don't think it's going to happen "overnight," but I think the industry will consolidate a lot over the next couple of years and Doug brings out some good points in his post. Who knows what Michael Dell wants? The article mentions him as taking over from Lou eventually, but maybe he would just sell out and go start another business. Didn't he sell some of his stock not too long ago supposedly for some "new mysterious venture?"

I guess we'll know when we know - should be verrrrrry interesting.
