I have selected to answer only your post as I see you need the most education then all the rest of Little Tonys Protectors.

A warrior is given the warrior Honor from his Tribe and no other group of people could place this title on me. That Title I have for 3 reasons. The first being I have saved the life of another and jeopardized my own in the process. The 2nd being I have served the United States Armed foorces and recieved the National defense Medal among several others. The 3rd being I have been Honored to protect an ancient warriors site and pray daily for those before me who used it.

Now, I never heard of a Foxwoods Indian Before and am going to assume you are referring to the Pequot Tribal peoples. The Abenaki are not Fearful of the Pequot now or were ever in the Past. The Pequot, Abenaki, Mohawk and many other tribes gather annually at Dartmouth college for a spring Pow Wow. In the old days this gathering would be held at the big falls but due to developments many years ago it has evolved.

The white settlers feared the Pequot the same as the white settlers feared the Abenaki. We do not fear each other.

If you carry a degree of Native Blood then I would suggest going to your tribe with genealogical papers and your heart, that is if you are not in fear of doing such a thing. The lessons that could be learned through such an act would be lessons to carry for life.

Hope this helps you vision the Abenaki/Pequot relationship a little better now.
