I don't know what your source of information is, but Microsoft
has to date only talked about "Application Foundation Classes".
Furthermore, developers will not be using AFC unless they are
intent on developing platform specific code for the Windows operating
system. AFC will not pass the "100% Pure Java" licensing
program.

JavaBeans is a trademark of JavaSoft, COM is a trademark of
Microsoft. JavaBeans COM does not exist.

JDK 1.1 is available for public download from www.javasoft.com
