SCUMbria - Re: "K7 does not have an on-die L2, but I believe that PIII does" The current Pentium III, like the K7, has an off-chip L2 cache. The current Pentium III off-chip L2 cache is 512K bytes and runs at 1/2 the clock speed. Pentium III XEON L2 caches are also off chip but can be as large as 2 MegaBytes and they run at full CPU speed. Paul
