I obtained my interest in NETA on Fri.,3/19 @ what I believe's an inexpensive price. I believe fears about Q1 & the SEC investigation are holding back shares & causing momentum players to jump ship & (in some cases) short the stock. I don't think major acquisitions are in co. plans -- per the most recent conf. call. Also, the SEC will be done investigating this mo. Thus, I think if you can hang on until Apr., some certainty will come to the stock. I see some support here, but shares could go lower. I dunno about making huge bets right now, but over the next 2 wks. is when l-t buyers should be staking their claims. In terms of potential acquirees -- CSCO is not going to buy NETA. Even though they're moving into the security space they're aren't going to make such a big acquition of a software co. Period. Remember, they're a networking co. IBM -- yes. Would be a schrewd move by them right now. No doubt. CA -- a possibility. Other potentials: NOVL -- gives them new rev. streams, but unlikely w/ recent momentum & St. positivity; CPWR, BMCS -- both could use NETA to leverage into consumer mkt., but would be a big deal for both cos. (especially BMC, which is digesting Boole & Babbage); a darkhourse could be CPQ -- trying to move into solutions of late or DELL -- which could, like CPQ use NETA products to leverage mkt. share in servers & desktops & network products w/ a bundling strategy. Just some thoughts.
