Au contraire, mon ami, Birinyi is a lousy "timer", no doubt about that. BUT, when you or I decide that an upturn is at hand, his techniques pick the stock(s) that is going to do the bugaloo for that move. And they are big cap stocks that you can bet big on with confidence. I will say that the Barron's article had some quotes from him that disdained conventional t/a. That bit of haughtiness may be a sign that he is about to get his butt handed to him. He was bullish throughout the July-October correction. Now if you don't like paying cap gains taxes, that may have actually been the best position to take. I like his methods, I disregard his bullishness at this particular juncture. Vinacci
