Razor, you know, if you apply Altmans' model to any of the Junior internuts, they'll all come well above 3, but I doubt that half of them will be around in five years, so maybe new times require new measures. Just for exercise I did the Altman on a small struggling outfit, VLNC (with a time bomb floorless as well), keeping the negative numbers in, you get Z=.6, but do not dare going on that thread suggesting that rough times are ahead for that company, you'll be tarred and feathered after post number one. For that matter, I dare you to go down there and give them a little lecture on the realities of survival without cash in the bank and no certainty that the product you hope to make (they are still in the process of thinking of making it) will sell.
