I was speaking generally...anyone who admits that they are "opposed" to the Civil Rights Amendment IN ANY WAY is often leaving themselves open to having potshots taken at them.
I could never say that in a general conversation because most ignorant people would immediately position me as a racist - which is further from the truth than they'd ever know.
The fact is, there are many methods to accomplish racial tolerance and acceptance. In fact, in NYC right now, there are a number of stores that are facing a boycott from the black community due to their supposedly racist behavior. Now, that's an effective way to make a point, IMHO.
