Hi John -- I'm not a daytrader nor a TA expert, but I look at everything from weekly down to 1 minute charts for my trades. I look out as far as at least daily to see what it looks like the stock is doing on that basis, and then I look at the intervals down to 1 minute to determine entry and exit points. If I were a daytrader, I definitely would use the 1-minute and 5-minute charts, and probably out at least to 60 minutes. Have you been using IQ Charts for awhile? I've only been using it about 3 weeks, so I'm not an expert. I have a cable modem setup, which is awesome. If you get a chance to do that, jump at it... Mr. Aloha
