freeus....the only way you can make money by buying puts is if the stock goes down...converesely in the case of dell and msft they sold puts and profited by an increase in the stock price... buy put=short stock sell put=long stock i wouldn't feel comfortable with a company buying puts against it's common...tantamount to insider selling... ed a.
