OK-- MOKE research report of Mar 18. The damn scanner will not get it in the damn 'puter so here are the highlights.. the stuff we know or seems unimportant is out..
EPS 12/98 .10
12/99E .19 (must not be counting all 4 qtrs?)
12/00E .27 (sounds low to me Heh heh)

Q1 99 .02 vs -.02 APR
Q2 .04 vs .03 JUL
Q3 .06 vs .04 OCT
Q4 .07 vs .05 Jan

Inst ownership 8% (sucks)
mgmt ownership 15% (good-- they can get poor like us)
TTM rec 27.2MM
1999 P/E 25.7X

No change in long term outlook. HDIE shares under pressure lately but no changes seen in fundamentals. Near term could be volatile (no-- how can they tell?) investors should view as distribution story and expect to see more eps story in 2000. As other markets (finance, utilities, govt, & transportation) we believerev & earnings will accelerate.

Q1/99 Co hasa not confirmed but HIE relied heavily on 1 distributer in Q498. Had other bus ops been stronger the belief is some rev would have been deferred until Q 1& 2 of 99. May explain price decline (not to me) In any given qtr it is expected 1 or 2 distributors can contribute a large % of software rev. Waiting Q1 results late Apr before considering changing changes to earnings model.

Vertical Mkt Transition--- future growth prospects are contingent on ability to penetrate new mkts (like banks NEON wants?). Growth outside healthcare are attractive (Yeah we know) with less competition and little to no mkt penetration. Other mkts have higher avg sales price. IBM agreement is key factor (we knew that too). No bus was expected util Q3/99 but looks like 1 or 2 orders this qtr. Dominate in healthcare but expect more success stories outside of healthcare (so do we). More financial wins expected due to partner DST Systems -- in financial sector.

Qtrly Volatility--- all software COs have majority of Rev in last month of every qtr. Investors should focus on rev growth, new mkt OPs, & long term prospects (from $4,, get real!).

Rated -- OUTPERFORM

Bradley G Whitt was writer---- (this crap was mine ;-])

(does "no change long term" mean the 15 - 20 is still in his dreams? If the shorthand version and typos are a problem let me know--- I did not enjoy it either and would like an excuse to never do it again!)
