They are dangerous, I agree. However, this one does tend to get the message when we fail to feed his zeal, whereas arguing with him seems to provoke further explosions of spleen--all supposedly in the name of Christ.
You achieve the next best thing than having him be quiet... you expose their sick nature.
This is the sort of person who helps to form weird images of people who are truly religious; he helps to perpetuate bigotry.
Precisely! because that is exactly what it promotes.
Religion is something totally personal and individual, there is nothing wrong in being religious... (I am an atheist, however, that does not give me the right to tell you that you should be one as well).
The difference is the "mission to convert" which most all churches have, that is the real evil stuff, because they will stop at nothing to achieve their "mission".
I, for one, should enjoy your sticking around if you like. If not, do come back again one of these days.
