Scott--My comments to Steve Fancy and to you in my note 8027 were written
from the perspective of a shareholder, and I was soliciting an honest
response from you as another shareholder of NOVL.

Joe's short note of 8077 and Mat Miller's looong(g) one of 8079 speaks to
the frustration which is common to this thread.

If you care not to see the mess as discussed in these responses, I'd suggest
you look at a 10 year graph of MSFT vs NOVL. Pay particular attention to 1992 where
both stocks appeared to share the same percentage appreciation from 1986, and then
look where we are NOW.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought this was one of the greatest bull stock
markets of all time, and I thought NOVL held a premier position in one of
the most exciting growth industries. If this is true, and if management
has a responsibility to protect and enhance shareholder value, then I
would suggest someone or some group has dropped the ball and created a
MESS.

Since earnings and the wonderful CEO announcement are only days away
(if we are to believe NOVL, i.e 2/26 for earnings and 2/28 for CEO), then
I believe it best to disagree and make the results do the talking.

Again thanks for the response, and continue to do what you can to create
a better NOVL (which is all anyone wants whether you look at this from the
perspective of an employee or shareholder).
