DUN & BRADSTREET SOFTWARE AND BOTTOMLINE TECHNOLOGIES INTEGRATE PRODUCTS

Business applications combine with secure disbursement systems to provide turnkey payment solutions.

PORTSMOUTH, NH (January 8, 1996) -- Dun & Bradstreet Software, an Atlanta, GA-based developer of application software and Bottomline Technologies, Inc., a Portsmouth, NH-based developer of secure disbursement systems, are offering combined software solutions for automating disbursements. D&B Software plans to make Bottomline's laser check printing and security products available for the D&B Software “E” Series Host Accounts Payable software applications by March 1996. As of 1996's second quarter, D&B Software plans to make Bottomline products available for the SmartStream® Payroll Client/Server System.

Under this agreement, Bottomline's CheckGard™ and Positive PayLink™ products will be enabled in the latest versions of D&B Software's “E” Series Host Accounts Payable and Client/Server Payroll Systems. This will allow D&B Software customers to benefit from Bottomline's ability to streamline disbursement systems, eliminate pre-printed check stock and attain a level of security and control designed to meet individual system needs.

“Bottomline Technologies and D&B Software have long enjoyed a close working relationship,” said Bottomline President Dan McGurl. “Our secure disbursement solutions have always been compatible with D&B financial systems. This new partnership allows both companies to provide customers with a seamless integration of two powerhouse payment products.”

Bottomline products interface with D&B Software's line of E-Series Host and client/server human resource products, which serve Fortune 1000 companies in industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, service and banking, as well as public sector organizations.

“In today's open systems environment, every customer has unique applications and security concerns to address,” said Don Gibson, Product Director, Dun & Bradstreet Software. “By teaming with Bottomline Technologies we are bringing a new level of security to our E-Series Host Accounts Payable software product.”

“Bottomline enhances our payroll product by providing extensive check and deposit advice services,” said Beth Price, product manager for SmartStream Payroll. “Our customers can choose a level of functionality that best meets their payroll needs.”
