LIBRA CORPORATION AND BOTTOMLINE TECHNOLOGIES INTEGRATE PRODUCTS

Perspectives by LIBRA® product line combines with secure disbursement systems to provide turnkey payment solutions.

PORTSMOUTH, NH (March 28, 1996) -- LIBRA Corporation, a Salt Lake City, UT-based developer of enterprise-wide, mission critical applications, and Bottomline Technologies, Inc., a Portsmouth, NH-based developer of secure disbursement systems, are offering combined software solutions for automating disbursements. LIBRA plans to make Bottomline's laser check printing and security products available as value-added options for their Perspectives by LIBRA® accounting software.

Under this agreement, Bottomline's CheckGard™ and Positive PayLink™ products will be enabled in the latest versions of the Perspectives by LIBRA product family, including the client/server tools. This will allow LIBRA customers to benefit from Bottomline's ability to streamline disbursement systems, eliminate pre-printed check stock and attain a level of security and control designed to meet individual system needs.

CheckGard prints check forms, payment data, signatures, logos, bank data, and the MICR line in one pass on blank check stock. It uses advanced security features to reduce the risk of fraud. Positive PayLink allows an organization to produce a daily electronic record of all checks written, which is transferred to it's bank. By clearing checks exclusively against the positive pay profile, the bank implements an automatic reconciliation process and guards against the growing menace of corporate check fraud. Positive PayLink also facilitates the transition to Financial EDI by establishing electronic links between banks and their corporate customers.

“Bottomline Technologies and LIBRA have enjoyed a close working relationship,” said Bottomline President Dan McGurl. “Our secure disbursement solutions are compatible with LIBRA's enterprise-wide business and accounting systems. This new partnership allows both companies to provide customers with a seamless integration of two powerhouse payment products.”

“In today's open systems environment, every customer has unique applications and security concerns to address,” said Carl Champagne, CEO and President, LIBRA Corporation. “By teaming with Bottomline Technologies, we are bringing a new level of security and control to our Perspectives by LIBRA® product line.”

“Bottomline enhances our accounts payable product by providing extensive check services,” said Brian Bingel, Vice President of Sales, LIBRA Corporation. “Our customers can choose a level of functionality that best meets their needs.”

LIBRA Corporation, a privately-held company, was founded in 1976 to develop accounting applications for early IBM desktop computers. Today, LIBRA is a publisher of mission-critical applications developed for Windows. LIBRA maintains business alliances and relationship agreements with major software companies, system integrators and consultants to keep informed of the continually changing demands of the industry. Accounting Today recently chose LIBRA as a "Proven Performer."

The creator of the Secure Disbursement Architecture concept, Bottomline Technologies, Inc. is a six-year-old, privately held Portsmouth, NH-based software company. Bottomline specializes in payment technologies which help organizations to customize their disbursement systems and reduce the risk of check fraud, while facilitating the use of modern payment methods. Bottomline Technologies was recently ranked #52 on Inc. magazine's 1995 list of America's fastest growing private companies.
