ADP AND BOTTOMLINE TECHNOLOGIES, INC. COMBINE OFFERINGS
Bottomline's CheckGard™ gives ADP customers increased control
PORTSMOUTH, NH (May 13, 1996) - Roseland, NJ-based Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP), the country's largest provider of fully-integrated human resources, benefits and payroll solutions, announced an alliance with Portsmouth, NH-based Bottomline Technologies, Inc., the payment technology company. ADP plans to offer Bottomline's CheckGard™ and Positive PayLink™ products to customers who print payment documents in-house.
Bottomline's products enable organizations to streamline disbursement systems, eliminate pre-printed check stock and provide a level of security and control designed to meet individual system needs. ADP customers will be able to print checks at the point of need in a secure and controlled environment. Bottomline's systems are compatible with ADP's human resource solutions including CheckMate™, PrintBack™, PC Payroll™, CSS™ and HR Partner™ products, which facilitate customized in-house MICR document printing.
“Bottomline Technologies can help to provide ADP customers with the payment system that best suits their individual needs,” said Bottomline President Dan McGurl. “Our secure disbursement solutions enhance ADP's market leading products. This new partnership allows both companies to provide customers with a superior system.”
“Bottomline enhances our service by providing extensive disbursement options which allow our customers to choose the level of functionality that best meets their needs,“ said Elaine Christy-Myrbac, ADP's Director of Strategic Alliances. “By teaming with Bottomline Technologies, we are bringing a new level of security and control to our customers who choose to produce their own payment documents.”
CheckGard prints check forms, payment data, signatures, logos, bank data and the MICR line in one pass on blank check stock and uses advanced security features to reduce the risk of fraud. Positive PayLink allows an organization to produce an electronic record of all checks written, which is converted and transferred to their bank daily. By clearing checks exclusively against the positive pay profile, the bank implements an automatic reconciliation process and guards against the growing menace of corporate check fraud. Positive PayLink also facilitates the transition to Financial EDI by establishing electronic links between banks and their corporate customers.
