BOTTOMLINE TECHNOLOGIES, INC. PARTNERS WITH HYPERION SOFTWARE
Bottomline joins Hyperion's Enterprise Solution Partners Program.
Portsmouth, NH (July 3, 1996) - Portsmouth, NH-based Bottomline Technologies, Inc., the payment technology company, has reached an agreement with Stamford, CT-based Hyperion Software to join its Enterprise Solutions Partners (ESP) program as a complementary software provider.
Bottomline's CheckGard, a Windows-based system for payment disbursement, works with Hyperion's client/server accounting suite to provide a comprehensive payment disbursement system. CheckGard processes payment data and grants users greater control and flexibility over check issuing. The combined Hyperion/Bottomline solution offers multiple security features including the elimination of pre-printed check stock, which helps minimize the risk of check fraud.
"Hyperion's number-one goal is complete customer satisfaction and Bottomline's business model supports that mission," said Wah Chu, vice-president of Hyperion Financials, Hyperion Software. "Over 50 percent of Bottomline's employees are part of the customer service and support organization, so Bottomline's disbursement solution provides not only strong product functionality but also emphasizes customer satisfaction and support."
CheckGard enables Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) document production. MICR technology places magnetically-charged characters on bank checks and deposit slips, which can be converted into digital data by the recipient. Additionally, CheckGard customizes screen and check design, provides complete disbursement reporting and tracks all system activity in an encrypted audit trail.
"The combination of Bottomline's payment technologies with Hyperion's high-caliber client/server financial solution gives large organizations an optimum infrastructure for payment processing," said Len DiIuro, vice president of business development, Bottomline Technologies. "The synergy between Hyperion and Bottomline at both the corporate and product level make Bottomline a natural fit for Hyperion's Enterprise Solution Partners program."
Hyperion Software, with $165 million in sales for the 12-month period ended March 1996, develops, markets and supports complete financial management and accounting solutions for large, multinational corporations.
