Well it appears that the water industry is in play. According to today's Wall Street Journal, France's Vivendi will take over U.S.Filter in a deal valued at about $6Billion. The article further states that the U.S. water and waste-water market is moving toward consolidation and partnerships. The U.S. market consists of about 55,000 public and private water entities that serve 90% of the country.

Also in the article, according to the World Bank, about $600 billion we be spent on building and upgrading the world's water and waste-water infrastructure in the next decade
