Zurdo,
This is being copied from a posting by Spearfish over at Raging Bull. Permission for people to copy and post it here is stated in Fish's original posting. After quoting the section, I have a few comments and a question:

[quote begin from RB posting}
Here are a couple of examples of things we hear about but might not fully
understand....

Quiet period -- the time period in which companies are forbidden by the Securities &
Exchange Commission to say anything not included in their prospectus which could
be interpreted as hyping an offering. Starts the day a company files a S-1 registration
statement and lasts until 25 days after a stock starts trading. Intent and effect of quiet
period have been hotly debated.

Roadshow -- a tour taken by a company preparing for an IPO in order to attract
interest in the deal. Attended by institutional investors, analysts and money managers
by invitation only. Members of the media forbidden.

These definitions came from…
cbs.marketwatch.com

This site has everything you ever wanted to know about launching an IPO.

[quote end]

Comment: Can I assume I am right to think Everen will not able to say anything about NETR until the quiet period is over?

Question: The havoc Anthony caused on the thread Friday, during the quiet period? Does this mean NAVR can not make any statements to defend themselves even if they want to for fear of violating the SEC quiet period rule?
