Haven't read the replies to your message yet, but I'd be willing to bet you're going to get flamed pretty good on this one.
And it's a shame because you are raising valid points. I especially agree with the statement that "does look like there are some efforts to find out what the company is actually doing and what it owns.", though. I feel like it *is* getting better, but that anyone who takes the trouble to read all of the earlier messages in this thread will quickly realize that, rather than finding facts and supporting evidence, the thread has mostly been full of opinions being represented as facts. And flames have been considered the norm for dealing with the negative aspects of the company (and there are plenty).
Though I feel the nature of many of the older posts (and some of the current ones) does a great dis-service to us newcomers, and many of the older ones go way past ridiculous, the situation is getting better. Mainly because facts weren't available in the past (though there weren't admissions of that -- only representation of opinions as facts), but keep in mind that the 10SB is now in the hands of many of us (and can be in your hands with a quick email to Richard LeBel) and facts contained within it are starting to be discussed here publicly.
The thread is still quite cancerous, but getting better all the time. And information about the company is no longer unavailable; it's being distributed widely (and promptly, I might add) to all askers.
I've toyed with the notion of starting another thread for HCCA, in which only material facts about the company would be discussed, but currently don't plan to do so, as the overall nature of this thread is MUCH better than it once was. Still, it might not be a bad idea to have another thread, to which information-seekers can quickly be referred, reserving this thread for interpretations/opinions of those facts, and, of course, the usual flaming. <g>
Nothing wrong with opinions (I've expressed mine, too) so long as they're identified as such.
I do hope you'll stick around a while as I think we could get a dialogue going about this company that would be helpful to investors. I'd expect that folks would want to know why you don't own shares of this company just as much as they'd want to know why I do. You'll find that even if I strongly disagree with you, I won't be vehement about it. <grin> I've been going through the 10SB a little at a time (would rather consume it in one sitting, but can't find that kind of time) and am eager to discuss it, plus and minus.
Up for it?
P.S. On a scale of zero being completely bearish and 100 being completely bullish, I'm about a 55 on this one. Though I'm finding uncomfortable things in the 10SB (yacht, boats, airplane), I'm also finding enough positives (getting out of Mar-Pro screwing, filing of 10SB in time to avoid annuled or voided agreements) to maintain my current position. I'm 100% invested right now (not in HCCA, mind you), but will average down again as soon as funds permit. |
